The brown batik was something I bought about a year ago and didn't care for it at all. When it was mixed with the other fabrics I really like the way it turned out.
I really do quilt my big quilts on a domestic sewing machine. I use my 15-91 Singer that was built in 1951. I have another sewing machine behind it that helps support the weight.
I used Bottom Line thread in the bobbin and Essential thread from Connecting Threads on top. The combination worked just fine. I basically work with the threads I have on hand. The batting is Warm & Natural and I used muslin for the back.
I used the Easy to Sew Quilt Pattern designed by Marcia's Crafty Sewing & Quilting. It was a fun quilt to make.
I used one of the same batik prints for the border as I had used in my Intertwined by the River quilt. I'll have to get a picture of it on our king size bed. Builder Bob really likes this quilt........even with the yellow in it!

other people go fishing......
and away they go!
So while they were boating I used their tree again as a prop for my quilt!
I'm glad I took these pictures a couple days ago as our weather changed and it was 50 degrees and raining today. We really needed the rain. My internet was also on the blink most of the day.
